Conversion Doubts

What truth is seen in darkness,
the priest will never tell,
though in his mind he will contend,
that path will lead to Hell.

How silly, then, to disagree,
with him, the voice of God,
an intermediary with
a distance voice, so odd.

What words do we,
mere mortals have to give?
When he, the mighty one on high,
shall win our soul, forgive?

But what if we have chosen wrong,
what if the souls we saved,
were nothing more than staples for
a shattered life enslaved?
