Apathy

If to be as bold as bold may be,
I say the world is apathy,
the constant turn and tide of times,
that seldom moment recognized.
War and hate and normalcy,
these things you’ll find are currency,
that constant drive of backdoor deals,
of push and pull and jaws of steal,
that fable of democracy,
now scattered by despondency.
These things you’ll find survive,
and on your weaknesses they’ll thrive,
no food or sustenance they need,
but ignorant minds to accede.
